Like many reform congregation, a significant portion of our congregation consists of interfaith couples. Temple Emanuel has always been a warm, welcoming environment for interfaith couples. In fact, two temple presidents over the past twenty years have been converts to Judaism. Our general statement on inclusiveness makes clear that we believe in welcoming all who wish to worship with us.

On Yom Hashoah, Temple Emanuel joined with the Greater Lowell Interfaith Leadership Alliance (GLILA) in presenting an Interfaith Service against Genocide.
The program began with the powerful documentary film, "Worse Than War" about 20th century genocides around the world.
It was followed by a discussion period in small groups, and concluded with an Interfaith Service Against Genocide including Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Buddhist traditions.
